Learn the difference between administration and assistance. Learn what MED-TECHs can and cannot do when working in a large community. Registrants will also learn the different kinds of skill set that can be provided by a nurse in the community (ALF) as it relates to medication; who can administer and who can assist. Resident rights as it relates to medication refusal, and when to report to a doctor. Learners will learn when to and how to D/C medication and how to report the discharge.

Learning Objectives:

  • Know which professional can administer medication
  • Identify who is considered non skilled
  • Identify the steps in assisting with medication
